Meals on Wheels

Every fifth Wednesday Trinity Lutheran Church members are invited to participate in the community program Meals on Wheels.

Meals on Wheels delivers hot delicious meals Monday through Friday to homebound citizens of Rocky Mount. Meals are prepared daily at Nash UNC Health Care Systems Hospital and delivered to the meal distribution site in the kitchen of First Presbyterian Church located at 153 N. Church Street in downtown Rocky Mount.

Volunteers then deliver meals to over 130 senior citizens who otherwise may not have access to a nutritious, hot meal.

Meals on Wheels is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization where volunteers are the life-line of the program. New volunteers are always needed and greatly appreciated.

There are 14 routes and each route generally takes one hour to service. If you have one day month between 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 noon please consider volunteering. Usually two people go together to deliver each route.

Financial contributions are always needed and appreciated.
