Sunday, July 28, 2024, Community Worship Service at 6:00 pm. Trinity Lutheran Church will host.  Rev. Dennis Jones of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church will preach on a theme of “Knit Together in Love.”  There will be a community choir, mixed among the congregations of the area. The offering received will support Peacemakers of Rocky Mount.  In 2007, several congregations in Rocky Mount joined together in a new ministry – to gather to share worship in the summer.  This became an annual event, a much-anticipated time of worship and fellowship of a diverse group of people who confessed that being held in the embrace of Jesus is stronger than any differences.  Local clergy are planning for this gracious time to gather together as people of God.   Watch the bulletins and website for more information.  In a time when distrust and divisions and vitriol and fear seem to intrude into our lives, it is so important for us, the Church, to be a witness of unity and love and welcome.  Please keep this worship service in your prayers.
